What it is and how I teach it

 

Yoga is, of course, many things.

 Awareness & Expansion

Practiced for aeons for its stabilising usefulness

and its down-to-earth influence on every-day life,

for its sensible functional movements

And

The open clarity that surpasses

ordinary experience to the innermost nature

of the mind and the non-physical self.

​

I represent Right-doing and the 

Wellbeing of Yoga.

Under the Universal Law of One in Light,

Truth, Service, Equality and with every Blessing. 

​

If any of this resonates with you, dear reader,

you will recognise these principles. 

 

Your time will consist of

  • Pandiculation with Somatic Movements.

  • Tibetan Practices. 

  • The 8 Limbs of Yoga.

  • Insight Meditation (Vipassana)

The body has a natural capacity for

healing & regeneration brought on by auspicious circumstances. 

Recognised on multiple levels,

practice expands.

​A Yoga class with Julia is not a mad jumble of random postures.  As long as you can sit, stand, lie down, close your eyes and breathe (but not necessarily in that order!) you will make steady progress inwards where the Higher & Lower meet in disciplined Stillness & Silence.

Out of respect for your fellow students & instructor, please do not attend class if you have a cold.  You will find it physically uncomfortable & too demanding on your breathing, you will become fatigued and easily distracted.  Stay at home and rest!
